The Clock that Stopped Working Temporarily…

A short prose, translated…

The clock on the wall stopped working.

She’d taken out the old batteries, put new ones in, and the secondhand started, ticking once more.

She wasn’t sure if it’s the clock that’s malfunctioned, or that the batteries are about to go dead.

It’s already, ten at night now, he’s still at work.

not my photograph…

She has no idea, if he’s actually working late, or if he doesn’t love her anymore…

So, perhaps, this woman is planning to solve the problem by replacing the man she’s married to just like she’d replaced the batteries on the clock that stopped working, who knows, but it makes you think, doesn’t it???
