A Glimpse of Her Youth

She caught, a glimpse of her youth, for just a split-second in time, and, she’d, tried, to grab a hold on to it, but, it was gone, like a flicker of light in the distance…

not my photograph…

A glimpse of her youth, that, was all she had, and, she’d tried, desperately, to hold on to it tight, and not let it go, but, it’d still, gotten away from her, fallen, out of her reach.  A glimpse of her youth, that, was all that remained, and everything she loved, was slowly, getting taken away from her now.

A glimpse of her youth, how she longed, to hold on to it tight, but she couldn’t, it appeared, out of nowhere, like a firefly in the night, blinking, like those, twinkling stars, high up in the skies, beyond her reach.

still not my photo…

A glimpse of her youth, she doesn’t have it anymore, she could barely remember her own name now, and, her life, no longer hers to live either………
