How Delicate the Rose…

This, was what roses looked like, photo from online…

simple, one-colored, very beautiful…

How humans played a role, in altering something that’s already, very close to perfection, translated…

The most literary flower is, probably the rose. The literary called out ,”Rose, Rose, Even if You Don’t Go by Such Name, You’d Still, Smelled Very Aromatic.”, “Since the ages, you’d, called out to us, with your aromatic scents, and, expressed how sweet you are………”, and, there’s the World Reading Day’s origins, from how St. George slayed a dragon, then, the women gave books to the men as presents, and, men delivered the roses to the ladies………

It’s such a most literary kind of flower, so romantic too! I’d gone to the Taipei Rose Garden to see the Autumn and Winter Rose Show, the garden full of roses, all in full blooms, fighting for attention; and still, I’d seen a ton of weird names for them, such as “Japanese Samurai”, “The Union Army”, “Peace”, “Hope”, etc., etc., etc., seeing how they’re all from a wide varieties of countries, and were, changed into many different types, I can’t manage to remember all of them by their names. Like this rose with three colored layers, I’d forgotten its name.

and now, after what humans mixed and matched, photo from online…and, these are only TWENTY-FIVE of the newer “varieties”, photo from online…

Like the poet, Rilke, had, once praised the rose, “………inside that fullness, you’d worn many layers of dresses, to keep that lighted nothingness covered up; and still, with each petal that faded, you’d, rejected, those layers of restricted dressing on you………”, and, in this age of agricultural technology, do you also want to reject how humans had, mixed and matched your natural colors too, and those weird names they’d given to you, my rose?

So, some things are better, left UNCHANGED, but, because humans want to prove something, that, is why they’re all, taking something that’s already close to perfection, and tweaking it, and in the end, sure, there are, many MORE varieties of roses being created, but, NONE would prove to be as aromatic, as the very FIRST rose in the world, the simple, unicolored varieties of white and red…
