As the weather became more and more, extreme, the heat that gets hotter in the summertime had now become, the, norm, we started sweating like crazy, just, working around the house, let alone, mentioning those, who are, working out in the heated weather, under, the hot and, scorching, sun, and my heart goes out to every one of these, blue collar workers every time I see them.  There was a construction site opposite my home that’s more than twenty-stories tall, that day came, the noises of the people, living on the higher floors, I got to see what was going on, turned out, that the construction workers were, taking down those, scaffolds.  They were, sweeping up the trash, cleaning up their, work areas, walking freely, and agilely too, I was, truly in awe, of how they’d labored, so hard under the scorching sun, and their, guts of, not fearing, the heights too.

So, these are, the hardworking means of, the blue-collar workers, while the rest of us, are comfy, in our air-conditioned office cubicles, these are the true hardworking people, who are, using their abilities, agilities, their skills, to make their own, living, and they should be, commended for their, hard work.

The Girl Working in the Recycling Station

There’s no shame in working as a collector of garbage or recycling materials, there’s no shame, in laboring, or the blue-collar jobs in the world!  Translated…

This middle aged couple owns and operates a recycling station at the entrance of our alley, the not-too-large shopfront had a pickup parked in front, with the recycling materials stacking up on it, some of the trash collectors would bring over the recycling materials to sell, the female owner, in her apron, busied about all day long.

A few months ago, another individual was seen working there, a girl, the daughter of the owner, didn’t have her physique, instead, she’d looked slender and weak like her father, with her long hair tied to the back, her attire was black shirt with jeans.  The family of three became, the constant scene of our street entrance.  The girl just graduated out of college, don’t know if it’s the workforces, getting hit hard by the outbreaks, she couldn’t find a better job, or if she was, willing to work, to help her parents out, anyway, a good looking girl, getting in the midst of all that recycling materials, at the entrance of the streets, hard for people to not notice her.

Comparing to how the female owner who’d, carried on in conversation with her customers, the girl kept to herself, and worked around, rarely spoken.  And, every time I’d handed her the recycling items, after she’d mumbled a thank you, she’d, busied herself.  Once I’d wanted to strike up a conversation, I’d asked, “did you graduate this year?”, got an affirmative, then, I’d, commended how she was, willing to, help her mother out, she’d still, smiled, and then, not another word.

we should show more respect, for these, laborers, because without them, we’d be living in a garbage dump!

Later, I’d heard the conversation of the female owner with a neighbor, asked how the young woman was willing to, work in this tiresome, and dirty job?  The female owner smiled and told, “I give her a paycheck!”, then, my neighbor spoke in a smaller voice, “such a shame, a college graduate, doing this as her work!”, thankfully, the young woman was on the other side, and didn’t hear.  My neighbor’s words shocked me, isn’t recycling the trash also a job too?  Because of the outbreaks, work is hard to find for the younger generations, my friend told me, that due to the outbreak, her son lost his job this year, and, became, a bloodsucker, sucking her and her husband dry, matter-of-factly, and even as the epidemic is slowing down, he’d, refused to go out and find a job, “with the epidemic as a valid excuse, staying at home, doing nothing became, reasonable for them.”  My friend sighed.

Looking at how that young woman busied herself around and about, I should give her the applause, and words of encouragements too, although, in the minds of ordinary people, recycling is a dirty job, with the long hours, not something to brag about, but, why must we all, sought out, the high-end flash, and the thrills in our lives?  She’d helped her parents operating that recycling station, with the meals, the beds provided to her, and she’d helped out some of the elderly folks locally who collected the recycling materials and sold them off to buy the foods, even if this is her job for the rest of her life, why not?  Compared to the strawberries, the bloodsuckers, we should, give this girl, kudos!

And so, this showed, how there’s no high or low in jobs, just how much you’re willing to give in your jobs, there’s NO shame, in working as a blue collar worker, after all, these blue collar, laboring persons, are what makes the world functional, because without these individuals, doing all that dirty jobs, how will the rest of us have it easy, so we should, show people who worked in these means, more respect.
